You can pay with any card. I recommended the Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Both TAP Portugal (through Star Alliance partners like United and ANA, indirectly) and Iberia could be used in this combination.
This is fine.
I generally find that two separate booking references work best anyway, even when flying the same airline in both directions.
By doing this, you can fly nonstop both ways.
Best advice is to use a free award search engine tool like PointsYeah.
Typically, booking with Iberia uses fewer Avios than booking with British Airways.
If you are flying economy, look for Blue Class on Iberia for additional savings.

The airline will tell you that you need it once ETIAS goes live, since you won’t be able to board without it.
Until then, you will be fine.
My guess is that it will be delayed past 2025 just like Real ID in the US.

You should ask people in your area instead of random folks across the country.
T-Mobile works well in some places and not so well in others (just like any internet service provider).
I’m planning to switch to T-Mobile for internet soon;
I checked with a local friend who switched and confirmed it works.
Unfortunately, I can’t use the American Airlines offer because I’m already a T-Mobile cellphone subscriber.

Travel insurance won’t earn you rewards or refund the cash equivalent of a booking made with rewards points.
However, it typically covers any fees associated with canceling such a booking.
Therefore, if the terms indicate a one-night fee for cancellation, that’s what you would claim for reimbursement.

It depends on where you are flying from and how many people you want to fly with.

Airalo is the best option because you can use it all across the EU and you can even set it up before you fly.
I used it in Japan and it was amazing.

I’ve stayed at both.
I stayed at Andaz Amsterdam in May 2021 and it is literally on the main canal and 5 minute walk from Anne Frank House.
Can’t have a better location.
The Andaz itself is a bit dated but has all the quirks of a W hotel.
I stayed at Hyatt Regency Amsterdam in October 2022 and it is more modern but is on the East Side of town.
It is maybe 10 minute subway ride to Central Station.
It is still in a good location (away from the crowds) but not as good as Andaz.
I would say the Regency is more modern than Andaz but if points cost about the same then do Andaz.

I just got back Sunday.
Yes I rented with Avis and 3rd party liability insurance is required.
This doesn’t include the coverage you get from your credit card.

Location wise Andaz Dubai beats all the others that are clustered around the airport.
Hyatt Centric Jumeirah has a decent location too.
You can also stay in Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi which is on the beach.

Ultimate Rewards can be transferred to Flying Blue or Virgin Atlantic which has Delta flights.
You can’t use UR to upgrade Delta flights though.
