Typically when I run into airline website issues like this it is either:

    1) VPN – so turn it off

    2) Ad blocking – turn off all extensions and ad block settings (sometimes this is built into the browser)

    3) Browser issue – try Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc

    4) Desktop issue – so try using their mobile apps

Usually one of these changes will fix it.

Otherwise, you will have to call in and manually book it.

I haven’t done Qatar but the 2 times we went to Australia (from UK) were with Qantas and British Airways, and both were really good.

When we lived in UAE, we were hoping to do a third trip to Australia since we were halfway there already and it was actually cheaper flying from UK, than Abu Dhabi (the same plane dropping into Abu Dhabi).

On long haul flights, US to Europe for example, most airlines offer lie flat business class.

But on a flight from say NYC to Toronto (or LA to Mexico City), those are international flights but because it is a short flight, they might not have lie flat business class.

Basically you have to check every time when you book the ticket.

There is typically a seat map when you pick your seat and it should tell you if it is true lie flat or not.

You can, but it isn’t a good value.

I find paying cash is always a better deal.

However, there are some people in this hobby that want everything travel related to be “free”, by using points.

I prefer not to waste my points on low-value redemptions.

One way rentals are obviously going to be way more expensive than a normal roundtrip rental, just remember that.

Any specific reason you want to rent a car?

Otherwise, the train is super easy and stops in all the major cities on the way to London.

You’ve got plenty of time, 15 hours should let you see quite a bit of the city.

Don’t spend it sitting around in the airport lounge, especially if you’re not even sure you have access to it (since you haven’t mentioned anything about that in your post).

When I looked into it at the Sahara rewards desk a while ago, the supposed free stay still depended on casino play, so matching it with either MGM Gold or Caesars Diamond wasn’t really worth it.

I’m not sure if things have changed.

Also, compare the costs of booking trips to other destinations to avoid LHR taxes.

Factor in time, trains, buses, taxes, and value of award ticket to get to a cheaper point, to the $190-$268 (depending on the airline) in UK taxes.

You could break even or just pay a little more for the convenience of flying directly from LHR.

CDG saves me taxes, however, I’d spend $120 trying to avoid $190 in UK taxes & spend more time traveling.

    They are 2 different currencies.

You need both, so I’d sign up for one and then in a few months get the other one.

While in Sapporo, don’t miss out on trying out a Miso ramen in Ramen Street.

    And go for Sapporo Classic.

This beer is only available in Hokkaido and it actually tastes good versus the regular Sapporo beer.

It probably went to the review team to verify it was not fraud.

Another reason to avoid doing multiple transactions in one day.

    Second this.

Amazon is an authorized re-seller and almost always cheaper than buying directly from Apple.

You get the same warranty protection.
