I’ve had luck getting reimbursed for $10 for Premium Seat and $40 for Checked Bag.

Unfortunately my advice would be to book early if it’s a peak travel time like Jan/Feb to the Caribbean.
I’d also check out AA, who anecdotally has had pretty decent award prices to the Caribbean.
We’re going to Grand Cayman in January at a pretty peak time and doing a cash direct flight from JetBlue O/W and a cheap award with a stop on AA coming back (10k AA + some taxes)

We opted for a ‘free’ upgrade to EV in California last summer.
The problem is that there are lots of charging stations, but always occupied.
Especially at our hotel, and management wouldn’t make the owners move them when fully charged.

Stopover just means they permit you to do that without increasing your airfare.
You are responsible for all local arrangements and costs associated with the stopover.
You can do a free city tour from the airport.

While 7 hours is a substantial delay if the airline did not change your class of service, mqm/mqd earnings, or otherwise disenfranchise you then there isn’t much more to ask.
Of course, you can always get more points, but you made it to your destination on what appears to be the same day in Delta One.
You can always send in receipts for food if you incurred extra costs there.

Marriott Homes & Villas was a good value in Tahoe.
Some overlap with Airbnb / VRBO but some other properties too.

Honestly, probably the Costco Anywhere Card is the best card for EV charging.
No annual fee, 4% back on gas and EV charging (up to $7,000 a year).
Unless you are charging a lot on the road though, it doesn’t even matter that much.
For instance, I charge almost exclusively at home, but on long road trips, I might need to charge once.
On a 500 mile trip I spent $22.
Not really worth bothering with a whole card optimization plan, to be honest.

Yes, you can use the credit on Spirit (as long as you selected Spirit beforehand).
Not sure if flights work.
Might make sense to try and book a refundable ticket (if that is possible) and you can see if AMEX credits you.

Several things:
– You obviously need an adult to stay with the small child no matter what.
– Alaska not only doesn’t split PNRs unless asked, but if there is only one seat available you + your companion will be skipped by people lower than you on the status list for upgrades who are singletons.
– Not all fares are eligible for instant upgrade.

All told your strategy is either:
Buy a more expensive fare to get 2 of you into Premium and upgrade the third, or probably waitlist 1 parent and child for Premium and First, and whoever “wins” the upgrade gets to care for the child.
