Do Airlines Share Flight Booking Info With Other Airlines?
Can 1 airline see flights that I have booked on other airlines for the same day?
I am booking Spirit Airlines and want to have a refundable backup on Southwest in case Spirit cancels or is late.
Is this legal?

Nope, I’ve done that before and canceled while at the airport.

If it is with other airlines then no.
If it is the same airline, like 2 tickets to the same destination on AA on the same day but at different times, then yes AA will cancel 1 of them.

Generally no.
Partner airlines and those on the same GDS can often access a known reservation by PNR.
They don’t, to the best of my knowledge, have a straightforward way to enumerate all the flights of another airline or search by passenger.
