Do Airlines Share Flight Booking Information With Other Airlines?
Can 1 airline see flights that I have booked on other airlines for the same day?
I am booking Spirit and want to have a refundable backup on Southwest in case Spirit cancels or is late.
Is this legal?

Nope, I’ve done that before and canceled while at the airport.

Generally no. Partner airlines and those on the same GDS can often access a known reservation by PNR but don’t, to the best of my knowledge, have a straightforward way to enumerate all the flights of another airline or search by passenger

If it is with other airlines then no. If it is same airline, like 2 tickets to same destination on AA on same day but at different time, then yes AA will cancel 1 of them.
