Do Flight Bookings Made Via Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal Earn Frequent Flyer Points Or Elite Status?
I just booked a United flight through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal so I could redeem my points. There was an option to enter my frequent flyer program and number. Will I earn elite status and frequent flyer points if I book via the travel portal, and not directly via United?

Yes for airline bookings but no for hotel bookings.

Yes, you will earn miles and credit for elite status. Airlines allow third-party bookings with no problem. Hotels don’t for some reason.
