Anyone with recent experience booking United flights through the Capital One Travel Portal?
Do flights booked via the Capital One Travel Portal earn miles?
Also are those flights eligible for elite upgrades?
I don’t see mileage earnings or the ‘added to upgrade list’ message in a booking I made today (to use the $300 travel credit)
I could select economy plus seats at no charge due to Gold status, and baggage allowance shows up.
I did not book basic economy.

The ticket has not been issued yet by the travel agency.
Give it 24-48 hours.
If after this the ticket has not been issued call Capital One and ask them what is going on.
However, when the ticket is issued you should be able to see your accrual for the trip.

This sometimes happens when it’s a travel agency booking (which this effectively should be) so it’s very likely just a mistake!
You could always call Mileage Plus to triple-check.
I would assume their reservation team should know – SHOULD!

Yes you will earn miles on any airline, regardless of where you booked the ticket.
The miles earned are all based on status, not where you bought your ticket.
It is only hotels that won’t give points if you don’t book on their site.

I booked United through the Chase Travel Portal and could not add my Star Alliance Gold number in!
I spoke to an agent through the chat feature and they said it’s a known issue for them when the agency makes the booking.
I would reach out to them!
