• How does Delta MQM roll over program work?

I’m confused about what happens to my MQMs with all the Delta changes. The email I got today and the embedded link provides:

    “Rollover MQM Conversion Options

You will have until December 31, 2024, to decide how you would like your Rollover MQMs converted. You can choose to convert them to MQDs, miles, or a combination of both. Members with MQM Rollover balances over 100,000 can also choose to extend their 2024 Medallion Status for 1 year per every 100,000 Rollover MQMs.”

I currently have 85k MQMs. Because MQMs don’t matter for status anymore starting in 2024, how much is my “rollover” amount? The full 85k or just the 10k that would have been the rollover amount above the platinum MQM threshold under the old system?

Just the 10,000, assuming you met the MQD or MQD waiver requirement for Platinum. 2024 status is still earned under the old system with MQMs + MQDs. The new system goes into effect in 2024 for earning 2025 status.

Assuming you’ve achieved platinum status for 2024 with either the card spend waiver or the MQD threshold, your rollover is 10k (same as under the old system). You can then convert that 10k into MQDs or miles.
