    We’re doing Prague-Bratislava-Budapest-Salzburg-Vienna.

Taking the Czech Rail from Prague to Bratislava and also on to Budapest.

Then OBB for the rest of the trips.

The earlier you book, the cheaper it generally is.

Not sure how far out you can book.

There are also private rail services in addition to state services.

I think it’s the Student Agency, they’re based in Prague.

They should show up on the general rail schedule services like Rail Ninja or Rail Europe.

Regiojet.cz is the CHEAPEST way to travel by train (only 4x/day so order your tickets early.

You can always cancel for free until 15 minutes before departure).

    Enjoy!

OBB Railjet should be a quick 4 hour high speed train.

If you’re set on the timing, is not too expensive for economy class.

I did Praha-Wien a few years ago and booked closer in, to the point where the First Class (and then even further Business Class, which is above F) made sense to splurge on, and we got a bit more space.

    Check FlixBus.com.

They also have a FlixTrain which is cheaper than normal state run trains.

We used an app called Trainline for our Europe rail travel this summer and it worked beautifully.

    The train is great.

Any train questions, you should check out Seat61.com

I searched all the sites and it seems Rail Europe has the cheapest fares.

It seems that it is somehow even cheaper than booking directly with the national rail line like Deutsche Bahn.
