How to use miles to fly business class from San Francisco (SFO) to Europe?
My bride & I are getting ready for a trip to Rome in April & then return home from Amsterdam.
I’d like to celebrate our 40th by flying business class using points.
We will either leave from San Francisco or Sacramento CA. We have Capital One points.
Any help in making this happen is appreciated.

SFO to FCO on Swiss (thru AeroPlan) for 90k on 4/1 & 4/2. You can return AMS to YYZ (Toronto) in biz on lots of April dates for 50k on AF, or as far as MSP on 4/10 and 4/19.

I just booked Rome to SFO on ITA thru Virgin Atlantic 100k, but if you have Chase UR it’s only 77k with 25% transfer bonus
Maybe it’s the same from SFO to Rome ??

AsiaMiles for BA and Flying Blue for AF/KLM are likely the best options. Also repositioning to LHR for VS but high surcharges

Doing the same thing as you but in Jan. I’ve been finding good deals with Flying Blue.
