• If the airline lost my luggage, can I get reimbursement for clothes I bought?

About a month ago I flew to Lisbon for a work retreat.

My luggage went to the wrong airport and I did not have it for 3 days.

I flew Egypt Air to Germany, and then Eurowings to Lisbon.

Am I entitled to compensation for having to buy clothes when I did not have mine?

Eurowings, for example, only has sections about lost luggage on their website, so maybe delayed luggage compensation is not a thing?

I booked the flights with United Points. So, if I paid just the fees with a credit card that has delayed luggage insurance, would that count?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and any advice you can share.

Yes, you are entitled to having your clothes reimbursed.

I recommend submitting the claim to whoever lost your bag (or both airlines just in case). You have to submit it within a certain amount of time and it is typically like 2-4 weeks after the flight.

Also submit the claim to your credit card because they might pay out faster.

You have to file a claim with the last airline flown if you are connecting.
