Lufthansa damaged my luggage and gave me baggage voucher to their Dolfi store. What should I do?
Damaged Baggage Question – My luggage was destroyed (broken wheel) and we claimed immediately.
Got a $24 voucher from Lufthansa (actually from Dolfi) because I was naively honest about luggage age and cost and they were aggressive in depreciation.
But a voucher for their own luggage store does me NO good…I needed to buy a replacement that I saw while on vacation.
To say nothing about a perverse incentive to damage luggage if they are then giving out $25 off coupons to their store.
So I’m really asking for any experience in the time and energy to seek out actual reimbursement since I’m not going to use a voucher.
