Common to have Phantom Award Space on Ethiopian Airlines when using Avianca Lifemiles?
Has anyone had trouble with making award flight reservations on Ethiopian airlines flight via LifeMiles? I keep getting error in spite of seeing availability. Even customer service said they can see the availability but it is not released by the airline.

Unfortunately, Ethiopian is well known to have a lot of phantom space. Lifemiles website is also notoriously bad.
