Should I Pay Award Taxes With Delta AMEX Or Chase Sapphire Reserve?
I am planning on booking a Delta award flight soon.
Should I pay taxes and fees with my Delta Gold Amex, or are the travel insurance benefits better with the Chase Sapphire Reserve?
I’m trying to phase out the Delta Amex since I’m not able to fly Delta often enough from our current location, but not sure which card has the best travel protection?

Chase Sapphire Reserve.
There is zero benefit to paying them with the Delta Gold.
Even the additional Delta miles will be worth less than the 3X UR with CSR

CShase Sapphire Reserve has some of the best travel insurance, so I would use that.
Check the terms and conditions for the Amex, but I believe if you use the Delta Amex, you have to pay for the entire trip on that card, not just fees and taxes, to get travel insurance benefits.
