Which is Better? United Polaris Business Class or Singapore Airlines Business Class?
If I fly internationally (MNL-EWR r/t) on United Polaris, as a MileagePlus Gold, they allow me three bags, 70lbs/32kg each.
I have an option of the same itinerary on Singapore Airlines business for $300 less but 4 hours more travel time as opposed to MNL-NRT-EWR on ANA/UAL.
Do they allow the same baggage allowance? What would you take?
The 3 checked-in bags are critical to me.

Personally I would choose Singapore business class. The seat is much wider, their service and food is leagues better than United! Mileage Plus Gold = Star Alliance Gold so you are entitled to one extra piece of luggage on any Star Alliance carrier, so yes to 3 suitcases 70lbs each.

If the bags are critical to you, I think the question becomes how you feel about the $300 fare difference. That’s a personal choice as it’s a lot of money to some people but not others.

UA is my choice. No reason to travel longer than I need to

SQ easy. SQ one of the best. UA far from the best.

SQ any day – 40kg (2 bags) should be your normal J allowance and if you are Star Alliance gold you get extra baggage allowance too which should cover your 3rd bag!
