• Which Priority Pass lounges will I have access to at London Heathrow (LHR)?

I am considering award tickets for the end of November from Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) to Tampa (TPA) (nearby airports ok in both place), I do have Priority Pass.

Is a 15h 55min stopover in London too bad?

I will have to transfer airports (from LGW to LHR), I understand the transfer is around the clock and it takes about 45 minutes and about 30 USD, but what about lounges?

Any arrival lounge that I can access in LGW?

Will I have to see my check-in luggage at all to then check it back in at LHR?

I checked Priority Pass and I see LHR has plenty of lounges, spread out through all the terminals, 2 questions:

1 – Which terminal will I be flying from as I will be on a British Airways operated flight?

2- Will I have access right on to the lounges since I am on transit or I have to wait for 3 hours before the departure of the flight LHR-CLT flight? I know many lounges have this rule but not all enforce it.

My goodness, Heathrow has cheap hotel rooms a lot of the time, you really would rather crash in a lounge than spend $75 for a hotel room?

(Points are usually a terrible value at Heathrow compared to cash, or I would suggest that but if you had to…)

BA flies from T5 (mostly) and T3 (occasionally).

The PP lounges at LHR aren’t 24 hours, so even if they would let you crash in the lounge you might not be able to stay overnight.

I would be prepared to sleep in the airport overnight if I simply couldn’t bear the cost of a cheap Heathrow hotel room.
