Depends on what your travel goals are and how much work you want to put in.
Chase is generally more beginner-friendly and people love Ultimate Rewards for the good base value and Hyatt redemptions.
AmEx Membership Rewards has the best transfer partners for airlines, but you really, really have to know what you’re doing to get good value out of them.
If you’re a beginner or you don’t want to work that hard to get value out of your points, either do UR or cashback.
MR are for intermediate to advanced players.
Eventually, ideally, you’ll want both for different reasons.

I was just there for New Year and stayed at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and drank the water from the tap and it was fine.
Even at restaurants, we drank tap water and had no issues.
That Grayl water purifying bottle though is super cool.
I am going to get one for when I go to Thailand.

Seconding the recommendation for Lush shampoo/conditioner bars!
I also use Dr Bronners travel size soap that can be used as body wash or to do laundry in the sink.
Get the Matador leak proof dry-through cases for all the soap bars – they’re great!
My other recommendation for 2 weeks in a carry-on is to air out the clothes you wear each day (just lay them on the back of a chair).
It makes them much less likely to smell and able to be re-worn without washing.
