No, you can’t transfer Ultimate Rewards directly to Turkish Airlines.
Turkish before the upcoming devaluation was one of the few good semi-exclusive (Citi can transfer as well) redemptions for Capital One.
Chase’s big advantage is Hyatt and United.

I’m thinking about getting an annual travel insurance policy, but I already have travel booked later this year.
Does the policy need to be in place before booking trips, or would they still be covered if I buy a policy now?

Yes, you can use Ultimate Rewards to book a cruise.
It’s the same as booking with any travel agent, except it’s a lot of points instead of cash.
However a travel agent would get you a much better deal, plus perks, than you can usually find in the Ultimate Rewards portal.

They ARE all expensive.
We were there last month.
I filled out the quote form on MyTanFeet website and they returned with a quote from Adobe, the agency that they primarily work with.
We needed a full size SUV and the price they came back with was high.
I messaged them that was more than we were willing to do and they then quoted a lower price with Alamo.
We actually had an excellent experience with Alamo, we picked up in SJO and returned to Liberia.

The price does vary a lot depending on when you are going.

I know people who have used it as a First Class passenger, included service with ticket, and while the lounge is lacking getting through security at JFK T1 faster is a nice benefit.
That said, SQ is out of T4 so this service won’t impact you.
T4 has PreCheck & Clear service if you have either or both.

I always take a portable night light for the hotel bathroom.

If you are flying from the Netherlands, they won’t check your passport but if your passport is less than 6 months, then EU might deny you entry but not sure.
