No other insurance will apply until Delta provides a denial of coverage.
Also what is damaged?
Delta will quickly give a brand new bag, hopefully she made a claim before leaving the airport otherwise it’ll be difficult.

Royal Mile end to end, Edinburgh Castle is one of my favorites and Holyrood Palace is amazing too!
In between there are tons of great shops, restaurants, and a couple of free museums.
I love the People’s Story Museum.
Virgin Hotel Edinburgh is one of my favorite hotels!
The Hilton Edinburgh Carlton is great too.
They’ve been doing construction for ages though right in front of it which is a bit annoying if you need a taxi.
I might be a little biased because I got married here but…I think Craigmillar Castle is a magical place right outside of Edinburgh.
More castles: Linlithgow, Doune, Stirling, St Andrews, Blackness Castle.

I lived in Dunfermline for a few months, it’s a super random little town but I loved it!
The Dunfermline Abbey is a wonderful piece of history and the park nearby too!
If you are renting a car – The Traiquair House is pretty neat!
It’s the oldest inhabited house in Scotland.
Plus there’s a fun maze & brewery.
I can keep going into the highlands too…

I was recently in the Air France lounge, and it was nice but nothing spectacular.
You will be going from a domestic terminal to an international terminal.
If you had a Chase priority pass card you could use one of the restaurants in the domestic terminals for brunch, then head into the international terminal.
You could potentially do a bit of lounge hopping to see which lounge you like best.

You might want to check and make sure they have your correct Bonvoy account number.
I waited weeks for my certs, then found that since they didn’t have my number, they opened a new Bonvoy account for the certs.
Took a few days to combine the account with my existing one, but it all worked out.

You should be filing for EU261 compensation for each passenger with the operating airline.
You’re both eligible for €600 each based on the flight distance and delay reason.
This applies to flights with an EU destination that originates outside the EU.

Unfortunately, if are you suggesting booking an *award* seat and then trying to use Lufthansa miles to upgrade that then no, that is not possible.
You can only upgrade paid tickets, not award tickets.
