I haven’t used any of the “perks” but I haven’t paid a medical bill in years with their Medicare supplemental plan.

Our finances (30+ years married, 2 years retired) are completely combined.
All credit card bills are on auto-pay from our joint checking account.
My husband keeps track of those.
I am P1 in the credit card game and do most of the travel planning.
We consult/discuss regularly.
We are able to work this way because we are fortunate to have the same basic attitude towards money.

If you were flying into the US, you have to collect your bags at the first airport, so you would be fine.
Not sure how it works in Korea.

We loved everything in Edinburgh.

If you’re driving along the East Coast stop at Dunnottar Castle.
Gorgeous views especially on a sunny day and when we went there weren’t many people.

I use Turo all the time.
Credit card rental car insurance doesn’t cover it though, so I just add on the minimum coverage for like $10/day.

Agreed, get CSP/CSR/CIP once you’re ready to hit minimum spend or once you need to transfer out your Chase points.
Do NOT cancel Venture X until you’ve had it for at least a year.
Even then it’s pretty easy to recuperate that annual fee so may not be worth canceling.
Once you play the game for a bit you will have multiple premium cards with partially overlapping benefits that you will need to decide to keep or cancel each year.

I watched a webinar (sponsored by Wendy Perrin of Travel & Leisure) on Medjet Assist, which she swears by.
The most important thing that I learned is that most insurance companies, even the “better ones”, will take the injured to the nearest hospital for treatment.
And even if that facility is less than ideal, if a person wants to transfer to a facility back home, that would not be covered.
One usually has no say in the matter.
With Medjet, a person is taken for immediate care and will then be airlifted back to the home facility of choice for treatment.
HUGE distinction for similar or a bit more cost.

FYI Marriott Home and Villas have some of the same listings at the same price (or even slightly lower) and you can points and elite night credits.
For example, while searching for a Paris trip in February, I found the same property listed on both VRBO and Marriott.

My 18-year-old has had a checking with Chase since she’s 16 and her first job.
As soon as she turned 18, she was approved for a Capital One Savor card.
Used that responsibly for 6 months.
Just applied for a Chase Freedom Unlimited card and was approved immediately with a very nice limit.
