I just returned home from China (my 4th trip!) and tried an esim this time.
It worked great!
Never needed a VPN and had full access to all my apps 100% of the two weeks long trip.
Enjoy China, it’s an amazing country!!!! ❤️🫶✈️

I’ve got an article about both cities that includes our suggestions for things to do, good places to eat, interesting tours, and beach clubs.
If you’re interested, just give me a heads up and I’ll send it over.
As for where we stayed, we opted for Airbnb.
We found a great spot in a convenient location, and it was super affordable since it was the off-season

I had it for a year, but I never used it once.
I prefer sticking with my regular security screening.

You have to either do it via a OneWorld transfer partner or use the Capital One Travel Portal and redeem your miles for an AA ticket.
Always check availability before transferring because not all OneWorld partners have access to AA awards.

I personally like The Oxford.
Also, concerns about downtown because of the homeless are exaggerated.
It’s okay. I’ve never had an issue.

You can use the credit when you book something through the Capital One Travel Portal.
It will give you the option to use the credit and it just comes right off your total.

I never had any success with these companies but yes with airlines directly.
There is no fee to fille a claim so I would do it.

I also thought it seemed like a scam because Tripster’s prices seemed too good to be true but because I was booking it with my Chase Sapphire Reserve, I knew if there was an issue, I could always do a chargeback.
So I decided to risk it and bought tickets on Tripster to SeaWorld Orlando and Gatorland.
We actually just got back from our trip to Orlando and the tickets we bought off of Tripster worked perfectly fine.
Highly recommend it if you want savings.
We saved almost $500 as a family using Tripster.
Just book with a credit card that has some sort of protection, just in case, because I don’t know how they can offer tickets so cheap.

It’s a gorgeous property with incredible service.
Definitely a more intimate feel than staying on the island (we’ve stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai too).
My opinion is that you should focus more on which location works better for you, as the Park Hyatt Dubai is a bit secluded and alternatively, getting on/off the island can also be time-consuming.
Also, one backs to a creek and one to the Gulf.
Worth considering.

A different perspective:
I wear one not because I’m worried about sickness/germs, I wear one because the air in planes is so dry that my sinuses and throat get really irritated.
I have gotten a bloody nose from it.
Wearing a mask helps the moisture / humidity from my own breath staying contained.

I just rented a model 3 from Hertz in Philly for $45/day.
Good experience except for the lack of a standard charging plug adapter, so my free hotel charging failed, and had to plan for an extra 20 minutes for a paid super charging session on the return.
And the app kept forgetting the car and resetting to defaults.

Reserved at $14 per day.
But after Sunpass and insurance (both mandatory!!), it was like $45 day.
