We used Avis for our longer rental…it was fine.
Got a rate of NZD $15/per day with AARP discount code (anyone can join, don’t have to be retired).
No issues.
We also used Cityhop for a 1 day rental.
It’s kinda like Zipcar where you can rent by the hour, day etc and pay by distance and you can return it without refilling gas as long as it was above 1/4 tank etc.

We were there last week and it was a mess… even if you make, your bags likely won’t.
I would try changing one leg of your flight to make the connection at least 90 mins.

I was just in India for work.
If you go to Amazon.In, you can set up Amazon Pay UPI that doesn’t have KYC under 10,000 INR (around $100 USD).
If you do KYC, then you can load more than 10,000 INR a month but you don’t have to do KYC if you are under this limit.
The only requirement to get the account is that you need an Indian cell phone number (which you can get anywhere) but otherwise, works no problem for Americans.

I just spoke with Vacasa about this.
The grand total (after taxes and cleaning fees) cannot exceed $500 per bedroom per day.
I was looking at a place that exceeded $500 per day and they wouldn’t even check availability.
Added one day and it brought the average under $500/day and it was not a problem to book.

I was in the exact same boat.
Saw that Capital One coded Walmart as grocery, got excited and the next time I used my grocery card (BofA custom cash) to pay, and nope, it was code as discount store so no bonus.
Capital One’s coding (at least whatever they display in the app and also the website) in general is very broad/generic and not very helpful.
They show so many things as “other services” when other cards actually tell you what it is specifically.
The best I have seen is the Wyndham business earner card in terms of coding precision.
It tells you the exact merchant code along with the description.

OneWorld status is a huge perk and should have reciprocity across all OneWorld partners regardless of which airline you earned it on.
I suggest searching for and reading all of the benefits analysis and instructions articles out there.
