It looks like they’re both British Airways operated flights arriving and departing from LHR T5.

1 hr is the minimum connecting time for the same terminal connection at LHR.

British Airways should rebook you if you miss it but you will have to clear security again at LHR and it can take a while.

There are lots of LHR – JFK flights every day.

If you can’t make it then they just book you to the next one.

    No big issue!

If delay on arrival of over 4 hours, you also get some cash! (EU 261)

The LHR-JFK flight is a British Airways flight.

AA can codeshare on it but it is operated by BA and takes off from T5 at LHR.

If everything goes as planned the 1 hour will work but with little wiggle room.

If your inbound is late or you get held on the tarmac you are likely to misconnect.

British Airways will then be responsible to put you on the next flight with space (not just the next flight).

The upside is there are 4 other OneWorld flights to JFK after that one on most days.
