When I looked earlier this year, the British companies charged higher taxes than the American companies.
Virgin taxes were way higher than Delta.
I booked Delta with Membership Rewards points.

It does look like Lufthansa zeroed out availability for the Munich flights next week.
I don’t know what that means.
The schedule indicates that they’re flying Flight 686 at least most days, but there’s no availability for sale which usually means that they either canceled or plan to cancel.

I love it, but have had some issues in the US in more rural areas, but that’s due to how they use other towers so it’s not really consistent.
Some rural areas I’ve had great service, others not.

You can check availability on the Hilton website by marking the check-in day for one night and selecting my dates are flexible.
Also, mark special rates as “use points”.
This will show you the points per night cost for redemption and you can see if there is the rate listed is a ‘standard room reward’.

This morning I talked to Chase and they told me that I’ve had five inquiries this year–I got two personal and two business cards with them.
And then the fifth inquiry came last month when I applied for another business card and got denied.
They told me it’s too many inquiries as one of the reasons for denial (after three recon attempts).

All depends on availability and when you are going (peak season or not).
I was able to book 88k One Way Business on United in Dec 2023 from EWR-DEL direct and then buy a cheap domestic ticket to BOM.
There is also Lufthansa or Etihad (using AA).

Booking a hotel room through the Southwest portal also earns companion pass-enabled Southwest points.
I once had the extremely good fortune to find a hotel room that had a super bonus going on, meaning it earned serious bonus (extra) points.
I managed to get just 1,000 points shy of a companion pass by booking 5 days.
That particular deal for that hotel room is gone, but stalking the hotel deals could theoretically yield similar results.

Sign up bonuses always post when your statement ends.
And yes, property tax purchases are fine.
Chase, nor any bank, have a way to know, nor care, what are business expenses.
Most of us use personal charges all the time to meet sign up bonuses.

You can’t with Alaska Airlines, which makes the companion pass not worth it (to me) unfortunately compared to other cards.

I believe you can buy Amazon gift cards to a maximum of at least $1,000 and they can be e-gift cards.
