Hartford Insurance has an AARP program but Esurance has way better rates.

Depends on the station but the bigger issue is the overheads usually fill up before basic economy boards.

If your personal item doesn’t fit under your seat, you’re screwed and you better hope the flight attendant stashes it somewhere because the gate agent might charge you if they see you have a basic economy ticket.

I can confirm that my Chase Sapphire Preferred insurance paid a trip delay claim 2 months ago for an AA ticket booked with miles and only the taxes and fees put on the Sapphire card.

I can’t imagine that the CSR would be any different.

It is 50 lbs max per bag.

These days, many airports have a scale that won’t let you check in if your bag is even .01 pounds over 50 lbs.

I have a travel luggage scale so you know exactly your weight before going to the airport.

I usually fly on budget airlines while in Europe so I use this smaller Lululemon bag.

It’s within the size requirements of a personal item, which is always included, unlike a carry-on.

Packing bags are a must though, and typically allow me to have 3 pairs of pants, 1 sweater, 5-6 pairs of socks and underwear, and 5 shirts.

Shavers and other things still have enough room as well (in my use).

    Yes, that should be fine.

If it’s not and you get bumped, are there more flights that day?

I always rent through Costco Travel and check the prices daily after I get my initial reservation.

Prices change DAILY so if you find a better price, simply book it and cancel your original (or subsequent) reservation.

And don’t forget Costco allows a second driver at no additional cost.

I bought all my Italian tickets through Trainline (which is what my Italian Airbnb host also used).

It looks at all of the different companies and presents all options.

Way easier, and they have great notifications for any changes and are fast to process refunds if needed.

    You can try emailing ed.bastian@delta.com.

Ask for it to be extended.

If this credit is from early 2020, they have been automatically extending them.

I stayed in the Grand Hyatt, it was so small.

If you are Platinum with Marriot, I suggest you look into Prince Shakura Hotel, with your status, you can have access to the breakfast buffet.

It is the best that I ever have had.

The executive lounge is amazing with breakfast and happy hours food, the swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi are the best.

Cross street from the Prince Sakura is the huge train station with bullet train access, and other trains.

Best of all is the room…two queen-size beds, American-size room.

You can say that only two people staying, but actually have 4 people staying.

Two check-in, and two come into the room later.

1 executive card access can bring in 1 guest, two people will have two cards, so 4 can come in.

I think we are overlooking the most important part of the equation – what is the AA price compared to JetBlue?

Because JetBlue is gonna trump AA Business and even AA First in most aspects.

I’ve flown Air China many times.

Frankly, with the security in China, they literally track your every movement so I don’t think there’s much you can do!

Once they have your passport it’s a done deal.

I love China with all my heart but it is what it is!

    I’ve never noticed any repercussions!

Seems like a real site but TrustPilot reviews are pretty bad for the company.

    Would stay away.

    Sorry to hear that!

Unfortunately, it can happen to anyone.

I’ve had a lot of success (knock on wood) by staying hydrated, limiting alcohol, drinking LMNT packets, and taking all my vitamins (especially vitamin C).

In countries with unreliable water, we avoid salads and fruits/vegetables without a peel (ex. bananas are fine, strawberries are a no) and we only drink bottled water or filter through out Grayl water filter bottle.

We’ve also taken Travelan with every meal on those trips and always carry Immodium and all sorts of other meds in a bag so we can treat anything as it comes up no matter where we are.

At the end of the day some things are unavoidable – we caught covid from our Alaska cruise last year.

Next time I will wear a N95 covid mask.
