We flew EgyptAir last summer from JFK/CAI and as everyone noted, they’re a dry airline.
I just had some drinks in an airport lounge before we departed.
The flight attendants were nice and the food was decent.
I just needed the ability to lay flat as I have neck and back issues, so I was happy.
We are flying them again in December.
Nothing fancy, but they fly direct and I could sleep.

Airalo has been my best friend as I’ve traveled to 21 countries in the last year.
Always reasonably priced, and as long as you’re okay with using apps like WhatsApp instead of traditional minutes/texts, it’s one of the best value-for-money solutions available.

Tile tracker works fine for me with my Samsung Android phone.
They are quite affordable too and just $17.
I’ve been able to see my bags in various airports even when I wasn’t near the bags.
Google is supposed to be adding support to Android similar to Apple, and a company called Chipolo is taking pre-orders on their website – I’m sure there will be plenty of others, including Tile once the update is released.
Just be aware that it’s been delayed a few times, was supposed to be ready this past summer.

I stayed at Hotel Monte Cenci in Rome on the edge of the Jewish ghetto.
If you tell them when you check in that you’re requesting kosher at breakfast you can have rolls and pastries.

Yes but don’t stay in Libera.
We stayed in Palya Hermosa, 30 minutes away, and loved it.
But we went for a week and rented a car also!

We booked with Alamo and we had an eight day rental of the large SUV with a $50 extra charge included for returning to a different location.
If we used our credit card coverage to decline the CDW our total was $510 or full coverage was $781.
We rented the week before Thanksgiving and returned it Thanksgiving afternoon, so not quite peak season.

Some cards have a minimum line that has to be maintained to keep the card open.

Yeah ORD is a lounge desert.
It’s pretty bad.
For the last 5 years, I have tried maintaining or status matching to OneWorld or Star Alliance partners to have access on domestic and international flights.
OneWorld sapphire or emerald is best to get AA Flagship Lounge access.
