The disqualifier for Global Entry is, “Have been convicted of any criminal offense or have pending criminal charges or outstanding warrants (to include driving under the influence).”

And for TSA Pre Check it says, “An applicant will be disqualified if he or she was convicted, pled guilty (including ‘no contest’), or found not guilty by reason of insanity for any of the following felonies regardless of when they occurred.”

So it sounds like you shouldn’t have a problem if there were dismissed charges.

However, be aware that these agencies also have discretion, so if there is some way for them to find it, they could choose to deny the application.

I’m not sure if they would, but it isn’t impossible.

And a thing to consider – I’m pretty sure if you are disqualified you don’t pay the fee, because you didn’t get the service.

  • Anecdotally yes.

I have all 3 Inks and a Southwest business card and 3 Chase personal cards all acquired since April 2022.

Every one has been instant approval.

I had a large balance on the SW biz card when I applied for the SW personal card.

That app has now been pending for 10 days.

The balance hadn’t hit the statement date but the card was nearly maxed out.

The card has now been paid off but the application is still pending.

The Last Supper and get tickets to the top of The Duomo.

The views and architecture is spectacular.

Don’t wait on the tickets to The Last Supper, however.

Only 15 people every hour are admitted.

It’s a tough one to get last minute, but spectacular in person, as the group is small and the room is large

For “all inclusive” you could book a catered chalet in the French resort of Val d’Isere / Tignes.

My husband and I try to go every year, and it is absolutely lovely.

Many chalets have saunas/hot tubs, and will then provide breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner (all nights but one).

Val D’Isere is predominantly chalet-style buildings with trees … while Tignes is higher, and a bit of a concrete jungle, but many buildings are practically ski-in/ski-out.

    The skiing is immense.

You’ve got 4 different areas, all linked by new, fast lifts.

And lots of yummy food options.

Definitely my favorite ski resort, and I live in Switzerland. 😝😎

For a really nice ski-in/ski-out hotel, we’ve stayed at https://leyule.fr before — breakfasts are amazing and there’s an indoor pool and gym as well.

If airline credit is okay, most US airlines will now give you credit if you cancel (as long as you aren’t in Basic Economy) up to the day of departure.

For AA, at least, you need to avoid Basic Economy, but regular Main Cabin and up qualify.

Pretty much the same as Air Canada…sometimes awesome, sometimes not.

They used to be super hilarious and fun…then they grew up to be a more boring version of themselves…but are generally wonderful.

If you already know the dates you’d need to be there, I’d get flights as soon as possible.

I don’t know what airport you’re flying out of or into, but just running some sample searches from my home airport LAX for the month of April on Virgin for Delta flights, British Airways for American and Alaska, and Aeroplan and Avianca for United.

There seems to be good economy award availability to OGG (Maui) and less (but present) award availability to HNL (Oahu) for 12.5k-15k each way, which would be ~2cpp or greater return for cash prices around $600-$700.

Anyway, from your airports and dates, see what’s available on those partners I just listed.

I have had the Samsonite Winfield Hardshell set for the last 10 years and it is great.

Been to almost 65 countries with it and the hardshell can take a beating.

Has a 10 year warranty and over 20,000 reviews on Amazon too!

One of my handles recently broke (from 9 years of normal wear and tear) and they replaced it free of charge.

Another nice thing is that it is quite affordable.
