I recently obtained my visa through a company for convenience, although it wasn’t cheap.

Since I’m traveling for work, my company covered the cost.

While the convenience was great, it came at a price.

Are you conveniently located near a Chinese embassy?

You can utilize the $300 travel credit and then downgrade or cancel within the eligible window to receive a refund of your annual fee.

I agree that downgrading is the best option.

You have to cancel and rebook with JetBlue.

You paid to avoid being charged a cancellation fee.

Yes, you have enough time, but you will need to change terminals, which means going through security and passport control.

Additionally, the distance (walking) between the two terminals is quite far, with a ridiculously long tunnel connecting the two.

You need to either fly or have the Air France credit card from Bank of America.

Transferring points from Chase or AMEX will not reset the clock.

I canceled my Citibank American Airlines credit card last month, and the entire annual fee was refunded within a couple of days.

This occurred approximately three weeks after the fee was initially posted.

You can retroactively claim AA miles but the maximum period is a year I believe.

The LHR-JFK flight is a British Airways flight.

AA can codeshare on it but it is operated by BA and takes off from T5 at LHR.

If everything goes as planned the 1 hour will work but with little wiggle room.

If your inbound is late or you get held on the tarmac you are likely to misconnect.

British Airways will then be responsible to put you on the next flight with space (not just the next flight).

The upside is there are 4 other OneWorld flights to JFK after that one on most days.

    There are issues.

It’s a Mastercard and not accepted everywhere.

If you pay your rent for points, you must also use the card 5x more per cycle in order to keep the points.

It is a partner of Wells Fargo but has a different department for rent issues which can be hard to get ahold of.

Sometimes these people are difficult to deal with. It can be tricky to get signed up to pay your rent.

There are 2 ways to do so, so you may have to have a rep walk you through it.

If you have it done via the charge account, it might not go through if you hit your limit.

You will have to switch it to the routing number and account number method.

You have to scan a boarding pass, so only departures or connecting flights.

But you can always try and just play dumb.

Same boat here but realized that with CashApp, you can pay by Credit Card and the other person can deposit into their bank without fees on either side!

Delta is a reasonably decent airline.

Just make sure you have plenty of time for connections, particularly if traveling with kids.

Ours is slightly different as to whether they all have middle names or not but it seems to work ok.

One time Delta wouldn’t let my husband have precheck though because I left off his middle name on the booking.

We have Delta Digital id now though which helps.

Transferring didn’t seem to be an issue but I agree it’s confusing bc I don’t give my middle name on my credit cards.

I guess I’ll see if that becomes an issue in the future.

There have been plenty of times when I’ve needed my bags en route (I’m not taking hidden city ticketing, just legit instances).

I’ve had no problem checking just to my next destination when I’ve got an overnight layover for instance.

I can’t say for sure that they’ll let you do it, but it’s not impossible.

    Chase Sapphire Reserve.

There is zero benefit to paying them with the Delta Gold.

Even the additional Delta miles will be worth less than the 3X UR with CSR
