All Polaris Lounges are quite good.

They have real food, drinks, and are all pretty new.

I have been to the Polaris Lounge in Chicago ORD and it was great.

Yes, it should code as travel.

FYI credit card car insurance doesn’t typically cover Turo so just be careful.

It is always a good idea to have a travel letter.

I was asked for one 3 weeks ago in Canada while traveling with my son but without his dad/my husband.

I would also make sure you have a POA so you can make medical decisions if you need too.

I would suggest that you look into getting a Wyndham Business Earner card for the future.

I use it to buy Airbnb gift cards and get 8x Wyndham points, 52x Speedway points at Speedway gas stations (points that can be used for other gift cards).

With Wyndham, you can book Vacasa properties which are similar to Airbnb but the cost for redemption is super reasonable (like 15,000 points a night for an entire house).

Which terminal are you landing at?

They are quite far from each other.

The Sofitel is inside Terminal 5.

Short walk (covered walkway) from Terminal 4- The Hilton, Crowne Plaza T4, Premier Inn T4 and Holiday Inn Express T4.

    Terminal 3 has an Aerotel.

I have done Hilton, Conrad, and Park Hyatt.

    Park Hyatt is so isolated.

    The Hilton was nice.

Conrad is my winner, though the lobby bar closed so early.

For carry-on you usually have to be at 40L or less.

I have the Women’s Deuter Trail 29L and I’ve traveled with mine for years.

The cool thing is I’ve never had to pay for a carry-on because if I had to it would fit under my seat.

It is my backpack for the weekend or two weeks.

I just do laundry if I have to.

I would personally stay away from Amazon Basics Luggage!

It is cheap BUT is it cheap for a reason…

Also don’t forget that if you are going directly from the airport to the client site, people may judge you if you roll in with an Amazon Basics bag.

If you are going to be on the road a lot, then I personally suggest investing in something you know won’t break easily while traveling like either Briggs & Riley or Tumi.

Heathrow is the absolute worst airport to connect through (Maybe CDG is in a close second).

They make you go through security all over again regardless of where you are coming from.

So factoring in delay taxing, deboarding, and going through security all over again, 1 hour is not enough.

Yes, transferring points from banks like Chase, Citi, or Amex counts as an activity to prevent expiration.

I think the minimum transfer is usually 1,000 points.

Using a shopping portal is also a good option.

Walking is free…if that’s too slow but you’re still super cheap probably AirTrain JFK to subway to PATH in NYC to Newark Penn Station to a bus to EWR.

It’s not going to be super fast since you’re talking about changing between four different transit lines (Airtrain to subway to different subway to bus).

If you want to be even LESS cheap and faster, Airtrain to Long Island Railway to Penn Station in Midtown to an NJ Transit train to AirTrain EWR.

The trains involved aren’t making as many stops and travel faster.

American Airlines does not offer stopovers on award tickets.

You can have a layover of up to 24 hours.

Ask your contractor if you can pay on of his/her vendors for them either credit card.

We got a new roof the other year and our contractor let us pay our entire bill due him by paying one of his suppliers for him.

Wyndham Business Earner card gets you Caesars Diamond status via match, which waives Caesars resort fees.

So that gives you some other options.

As others said, MGM needs direct booking for MGM Gold waived resort fees.

    That’s odd.

I rented a Tesla in Boston from Hertz and found the J 1772 adapter in the trunk and was able to use a hotel charger that way.
