No, don’t do it!
You’d be giving up the Chase Unlimited sign-up bonus plus the 5x categories each quarter, especially if you max out a category.

Only Southwest allows points to be used with a companion pass.
All the other airlines give you a companion pass but the catch is that you have to buy a revenue ticket.

You need to enter your frequent flyer number that has your elite status, so probably add your AA number to the BA reservation.
A quick call to BA can add it.

I tested the Wyndham Earner Biz and FordPass at superchargers.
Wyndham didn’t code with a bonus, FordPass did.

As far as the bank points programs, many have overlapping transfer partners so combining those for a redemption is possible but Capital One and AMEX don’t transfer directly to AA.

I booked 2 rooms on points at the same IHG property without issue.
I completed the booking on 1 room then did another booking for the same hotel for the same nights (what OP mentioned doing) aka individual bookings.

Depends on where you travel.
If you go somewhere with lots of hotels and mostly weekday travel, then yes prices will go down.
But if you go somewhere where people go on weekends or limited number of hotels, then it will likely go up
