Vienna is absolutely gorgeous during Christmas time.
You can also go somewhere relatively warm like Sicily, I’ve read that they go all out for Christmas.
You can easily fill the two free weeks by staying in Italy and moving around by train to minimize flying.
France also has beautiful Christmas markets.
Many markets in Europe stay open even after Christmas, and they don’t take the decorations down till after the New Year, so it’ll be beautiful and cheerful anywhere you go.

Do you have a different INK?
If so, you can ask that the limit of the other INK be added to your new one.
You can do what you mentioned.
But if done too often, your account can fall under question.
So be careful.
Once shouldn’t be too terrible.

This may not apply but the free bag is only valid for domestic flights.
I didn’t look closely when I applied and wasn’t able to check a bag for free when flying to Costa Rica.
The agent was super nice about it and said a lot of people make the same mistake.

The miles earned by the cobranded card are deposited each month into your Delta SkyMiles account.
Your SkyMiles are not held by Amex so you can’t redeem them for a statement credit.

I ran into this problem for 2 tickets and was able to call Turkish to have them check the availability and book it.

If you prepay, the cell phone protection won’t apply since it requires the monthly charge to show on the corresponding month’s statement.
