I’ve stayed at Hyatt Regency – The Churchill many times but recently tried Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars.
I really liked Blackfriars, but it has a more modern feel whereas the Churchill feels more – in the words of the British – posh.
Both are good choices, just depends on what you want.
Rooms are bigger at Blackfriars.
I will be back at the Churchill on future visits.

I think they just freeze changes made to your schedule.
You should call the school and ask.

MemberNovember 14, 2023 at 1:45 pm in reply to: Is Hilton Honors Or Marriott Bonvoy Better For Road Warriors?Hilton always is so nice to us at check-in and we get free water as a basic gold member.
As basic Marriott members, we get nothing and frankly, the check-in people are never super lovely.
We are basic members and only deal with this level.
Also, in Germany, we got upgraded to a big suite and got a concierge with a Hilton.

As for why the book & upgrade option is available it might just be buying the automatic upgrade fare as it’s 11k Avios plus $800 per ticket.
A revenue first class will be under $700.

I expect a lot of lounges there when it is done but they are way behind schedule.

If your wallet credit is not sufficient to cover the cost of the flight, then you can use a credit card for the remainder.
You can pay the full cost with the companion code with wallet credit.
It is an exception.

I downgraded a Citi Premier to a no fee rewards and an Amex Delta Reserve to a no fee Delta Blue.

MemberFebruary 7, 2023 at 7:37 am in reply to: Does EU 261 Delay Compensation Apply To Award Tickets?Yes, point flights do qualify for compensation if the situation warrants / requires it.
A 3.5 delay due to weather won’t justify compensation as it is outside of the airline’s control but if there were other reasons for the delay that can trigger protections that do provide for compensation.
You can request from the airline the official reason for the delay or you can just file for compensation under EU261 protections if you arrived more than 3 hours late.

For me, so long as I paid with a card with decent trip cancel cover, and most of Chase’s premium cards count, I’d be content with that.
