If it is two separate tickets it’s very unlikely that they will transfer.
This means you’ll have to go through immigration and customs to collect and recheck.

They sell flights for US carriers based on codeshare agreements.
The easiest one to search in my opinion is Air France for AF/KLM/Delta flights.

I’ve done this with Delta a few times but rarely does the math work.
Usually, at least with Delta, the First Class upgrade price is ridiculous compared to just booking First Class in the first place (sometimes the upgrade is more than just buying a First Class ticket… why? Delta).
Once in a great moon though I can book a points ticket in Main Cabin or Comfort Plus and then I keep checking the First Class cash upgrade and will find a sweet deal. But let me also say those deals don’t last.
The last time I did this on an MSP to SEA flight, I was able to snag a cheap upgrade but after I bought mine it drove the algorithm to push the price 300% higher.

All major credit cards are accepted and Apple Pay.
Jordan will take credit cards but some very local places may only take cash.

I think the JetBlue card is worth it.
I think they had a huge SUB back in 2021 or so, which is when I got the card.
I mean, if you just fly three segments a year on them; you earn the cost of the card back.
And I fly back-and-forth between Salt Lake City and Fort Lauderdale five or six times a year.
So, even if I don’t fly JetBlue for the round trip, if I just fly them for five or six one-way trips, then I’ve already earned back the cost of the card.

You’ll get a credit for TSA Precheck automatically.
You don’t have to do anything other than use your Chase Sapphire Reserve to pay for it.

Paying the taxes with the CSR is what triggers the coverage.
Once the points are transferred, they are no longer Chase points so I wouldn’t count on that part working
