I also just left Cancun and saw no signs or anything for the visit tax, I never paid.
I paid last year and no one even asked to see my QR code.
I am always happy to pay and give back to the local economy but if no one is going to follow up and most people won’t pay it since it won’t be enforced then…

I found Lake Tahoe to be much cheaper than Colorado.
Also not going to the large resorts on the Epic Pass or Ikon Pass will save you money.

No, Singapore Airlines does not provide a free layover hotel.
You have to pay for the hotel with Singapore.

A) Yes, you can pay your estimated taxes with a credit card.
There is typically a fee to do it, so I would only do it if you are trying to meet the minimum spend requirement.
B) No need to mail anything

It’s $50 but if you paid less than $50 then you forfeit that.
So I guess more accurately it’s a refund on any amount exceeding $50.

A few years ago when I went via YVR to another international destination, I did not need to see an immigration agent but I did have to scan my passport on a kiosk.

The Air France lounge in 2F is quite good – newly renovated and they have champagne.
Arriving from the US you also have to clear passport control – just keep that in mind it’s always tricky at CDG.

The Iberia site does not cover partner award cancellations well other than Vueling which they expressly say you will not get points back for.
Personally, I would only book an Iberia flight through them since the results seem mixed for partner cancellations.
I would look at BA instead to see if I could book there for partners.
With a lack of a clear policy, I would not take a chance.

Yes, it gets you access to more United Saver Awards.
But it won’t apply to partner awards, and not likely to international business class.
Unfortunately, United Saver fares are still the most overpriced across the board.
I’m more interested in saver fares to book via Aeroplan.

I would try to change it.
ESPECIALLY with American’s record of being late, and ESPECIALLY with the DFW Hub.
I lived in South Texas for 35 months, and flying American (especially during the pandemic) just became a nightmare.

Unfortunately, Ethiopian is well known to have a lot of phantom space.
Lifemiles website is also notoriously bad.

For such a long journey 3 days feels too short.
I’ve never been one to go somewhere for more than a few days I thought I would be bored but after 6 nights I was disappointed leaving.
