Purchasing Southwest points or transferring from Ultimate Rewards won’t count towards Companion Pass.

You may be able to go through Chase / Amex / Capital One and get reimbursement for any food / hotels you incurred during the delay.

Smart taking the earlier flight as Iberia has absolutely no obligation to accommodate you if you miss their flight do to a delay on your other flight.
You can use any One World lounge.
